If the current trends continue, 2023 will be marked by an economic slowdown and much uncertainty. The slowdown is necessary to counteract inflation, which reached levels we have not seen since the 1980s. Despite this, the strength of the labour market and the strong demand for commodities should allow the Canadian economy to see slight growth in the coming year.
